Centennial Hall Feasibility Study
The City of London’s Centennial Hall is an aging facility whose future has been in question for many years. Responding to the City’s need for a comprehensive plan for Centennial Hall, Novita undertook a detailed operating analysis, a condition study and a long term program for the phasing out of the facility in a coordinated plan with new replacement facilities. As part of the investigation, various sites for a new performance facility were considered.
As part of Novita’s planning work for the transition from the current facility to the new one, we identified the currently unmet needs for performing arts presenters and audiences in London. As part of this work, we surveyed the available touring product in Canada for live performance facilities of similar size.
We conducted a facility condition study to determine necessary repairs and upgrades to Centennial Hall in order for it to remain usable until a new Performing Arts Centre is built. A focus of this study was to recommend equipment that can be reused in a new facility.
