Charlottetown Civic Centre

The objective of this project was to assess the current and future market for entertainment and performance events in Atlantic Canada and specifically Prince Edward Island in order to develop a recommendation regarding the suitability of upgrading and expanding the seating in the Charlottetown Civic Centre, a large spectator arena.

Research involved a review of current usage rates and attractions, the identification of competing spectator arenas and other large venues in Prince Edward Island and throughout Atlantic Canada, a scan of available touring product for large venues in the entertainment category and a consideration of the size and purchasing power of the local and tourist audience market.
