International Centre for the Arts, Part 1

The Town of Markham is in the process of planning a new arts district on a site that currently contains the Civic Administration building, the Markham Theatre, and Unionville High School.

The idea is to create a mixed-use International Centre for the Arts, including the Royal Conservatory of Music and increasing the amount of live performance facilities for the Town. This project will create the infrastructure for future spinoff development, including creative industries, restaurants, cafés, and other leisure activities.
